22 Sep Taking Our School Development Plan Outdoors 🌿
The new scholastic year began with a spirit of collaboration, reflection and enthusiasm as our school staff came together for the first School Development Plan (SDP) meeting of the year — and this time, we took our learning outdoors!
The session began with a warm welcome from College Principal Sr Melissa, who greeted all members of staff and encouraged everyone to look forward to another year of shared learning, growth and commitment to our pupils.
Head of School Ms Marion Cutajar then introduced the School Development Plan for the new scholastic year, presenting the priorities and areas for development that will guide our work throughout the year. The session provided an opportunity for staff to reflect on our achievements, consider areas where we can continue to grow and, most importantly, work together towards our shared goals.
The day continued with a series of collaborative workshops led by Deputy Head Ms Antonella Vancell, Ms Janelle and Ms Marionne. Staff worked together on the development of our action plans, discussing ideas, identifying practical steps and considering how our priorities can be translated into meaningful actions within our school community.
🌳 Taking the SDP outdoors was a deliberate choice. As a school, we increasingly recognise the value of learning beyond the traditional classroom and the positive impact that natural surroundings can have on creativity, collaboration and wellbeing. Being outdoors provided a refreshing environment in which staff could think, share ideas and work together in a different setting.
The meeting was not simply about planning for the year ahead. It was also about building a shared vision, strengthening teamwork and ensuring that every member of staff has a role in moving our school forward.
As we embark on another scholastic year, we look forward to putting our plans into action and continuing our journey of learning, innovation and continuous improvement.
