Erasmus+ Staff Dissemination: Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls
This week, 11 of our dedicated staff members shared their enriching experiences from their recent Erasmus+ mobility programme in Sweden, where they explored innovative ways to use nature as an outdoor classroom.
In a dissemination session attended by over 60 colleagues, staff members highlighted key insights gained from Swedish educational practices that integrate outdoor learning into everyday teaching. From forest schools to experiential activities in natural settings, the team brought back a wealth of knowledge, ideas, and inspiration on how to connect learning with the environment.
The session encouraged meaningful discussion among colleagues about the benefits of outdoor education, including increased student engagement, well-being, and cross-curricular learning opportunities.
This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to professional development and to enriching our students’ educational experience through international collaboration and best practice sharing.
We look forward to seeing how these ideas take root in our own classrooms and outdoor spaces.
